In addition, Derik serves as Chairman of the Texas Barbecue Foundation, which works closely with both the National and Texas High School BBQ Associations to equip young people with skills and opportunities that will benefit them for a lifetime. The Foundation also supports food drives, local pantries, and other efforts to bring hope to families and individuals in need.
