Texas Barbecue – The People’s Choice Awards: Best Pork Ribs Bracket Challenge

BBQ Fans, It's time to vote for your favorites!
And Then There Were Two...

Yes, only two businesses remain in the inaugural Texas Barbecue People’s Choice Awards – Best

Pork Ribs in Texas and we are down to the Championship Round. One on one and may the best pork ribs win.

So, now the question of who will be the champion falls to you, the people.

North vs East

In this hard fought battle between North vs. East Regional Championships, these two

outstanding businesses battled it out very hard and each had a very strong group of fans that

showed up for them both. Panther City BBQ from Ft. Worth won the North Regional Champions

and Mimsy’s Craft Barbecue & Steakhouse battled to the East Regional Championship.

However, only one can advance so moving on to the Championship round is, (drum roll please)

Mimsys Craft Barbecue & Steakhouse from Crockett, Texas.

Congratulations, Mimsys! You have earned your place in the Championship Round. Your fans

and voters did a great job at getting the word out as the numbers gave you a clear victory.

Southwest vs Central

In the other semifinal round, the Southwest Regional Champion, Schulze’s Pit Room from

Seguin, Texas, faced off against the juggernaut, Hecho En Texas BBQ from Cameron, Texas the

Central Regional Champion in a contest that received more votes than any pairing thus far. But

again, only one can advance to the final round and with that said, the winner moving forward

between these two business is…….Schulze’s Pit Room from Seguin, Texas. Congratulations

going out to Schulze’s Pit Room and your fans. Everyone did a great job.

Also, congratulations to our other two champions, Panther City BBQ and Hecho En Texas BBQ .

You are both truly great champions and both truly very deserving.
